Nominations For The 3rd Annual Changing Lives - One Youth at a Time Awards Breakfast. The Fairfax Partnership for Youth needs your help in recognizing some very deserving young people! The awards this year will focus on youth and youth-led organizations that best personify the Partnership’s mission to reduce youth violence and promote positive youth development. Nine awards will be presented to 5th - 12th grade youth, with monetary awards totaling $5,000 sponsored by the Apple Federal Credit Union Education Foundation. Winners will be recognized at an awards breakfast on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency Reston with Art Monk delivering the key note address. Greater Reston Arts Center. Annual C-Note Sale. Gallery opens: 11 am; Sale begins: 1 pm. Build an art collection at the exciting annual C-Note Sale at the Greater Reston Arts Center, a once a year opportunity to take home an exceptional piece of original art for only $150.00! All of the 200 art works are donated by artists from the 2008 Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival and throughout Northern Virginia, with many pieces valued at 5-10 times more than the ticket price.
